Eric V. Moye for Judge

THANK YOU DALLAS COUNTY VOTERS

I extend my deepest thanks to the voters of Dallas County for making my primary campaign a success. I offer special thanks to the many contributors, volunteers, precinct chairs, activists, and community leaders who helped make this campaign victorious.

The General Election is coming fast, on November 4, 2008. Please join with me as we make the final push to victory in the fall.

ERIC V. MOYÉ OFFERS STRONG CREDENTIALS, A TRACK RECORD OF PUBLIC SERVICE AND PRIOR CIVIL JUDICIAL EXPERIENCE

Dear Dallas County Voters,

Thank you for taking a moment to learn more about my campaign for the 14th Civil District Court.  I have enjoyed a long legal career here in Dallas, including prior service as Judge of the 101st Civil District Court, and it is my desire to return to public service.

I believe you will find I have the credentials, experience and work ethic to be a knowledgeable, hard-working and impartial judge.  I have over 25 years of civil practice experience.  After graduation from Southern Methodist University and Harvard Law School, I commenced my career at the Dallas-based firm of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld.  Later, as Judge of the 101st Civil District Court, I oversaw more than 1,000 cases. For the last 12 years, I have been in private practice, and today I am a founding partner of Vincent & Moyé, P.C., a commercial litigation firm with offices in Dallas and Houston.

Moreover, I have taken a strong interest in the Dallas community beyond my legal work through my service on boards and with numerous organizations.  Please read more about my background here.

Once elected, I pledge to serve you with honor and distinction, and I will operate a fair and efficient court where all parties are heard and justice is served.  I will need your help to get there.  I urge you to make a contribution, volunteer, order a yard sign or sign up for campaign email alerts at the top of any page.

Thanks for your support.

Best regards,
Eric Moye Signature

ERIC MOYÉ RECOMMENDED BY DALLAS MORNING NEWS

“Mr. Moyé is the clear choice in this race.”

Excerpt as published in The Dallas Morning News on January 24, 2008:

“Eric V. Moyé has what voters look for in a strong judicial candidate. He's served on the bench before and spent his legal career representing a wide array of clients, from individuals to large companies and Dallas ISD. He teaches trial law in an annual workshop at his alma mater, Harvard Law School.

Add to that his long list of supporters from throughout the legal world and across the political spectrum – Rafael Anchía, Martin Frost and Ron Kirk, just to name a few of the Democrats – and Mr. Moyé clearly is a smart choice in the Democratic primary for the 14th Civil District Court in Dallas County.

Mr. Moyé, 53, grew up in New York but earned his bachelor's degree at Southern Methodist University in 1976 before attending Harvard Law School. He was active in housing and economic issues in southern Dallas in the 1980s and held leadership roles in the Dallas Bar Association, Leadership Dallas Alumni Association and other groups.
He was appointed to the 101st Civil District Court post by Gov. Ann Richards in 1993…Mr. Moyé is the clear choice in this race.”
